As the laid back vibe of summer transitions into more structure and the routine that comes with fall, I find myself wanting to focus on simpler recipes with fewer ingredients to help me stay on track with my healthy lifestyle. 5 ingredient recipes become a go-to as I embrace the business of the season.

Lemon Chicken with Parmesan Green Beans AHP 632

While this recipe technically has 6 ingredients (does garlic really count) I had to include it because {one} it’s so simple, {two}  it’s ready in under 30 minutes and {three} at 14.95 g of net carbs it’s a great addition to your low carb day meal plans!

Bison Burgers with Crispy Shallots and Roasted Shaved Brussels AHP 589

I always double this one and serve the burgers on a regular macro day atop buns with sweet potato fries and then turn the leftover brussels sprouts into a breakfast rice bowl topped off with a fried egg! Cook once eat twice.

Salmon in Parchment AHP 005

A light meal with fresh and zesty flavors for any time of the year! The salmon is moist and delicious while the veggies remain fresh and crisp! We love this meal because it’s low maintenance to prepare and requires next to no clean-up! I like to chop the veggies over the weekend, prep the packets up in the morning and pop in the oven when I’m ready to eat for a super quick + healthy dinner!

French Onion Chicken with Spinach AHP 273

Another technically 6 ingredient recipe (dang garlic) but a go-to as the weather gets a little cooler. We take our pan-seared chicken and top off with sweet caramelized onions, lemony thyme and nutty Gruyere cheese. Finished in the oven to allow the flavors to melt together.

Almond-Crusted Tilapia with Broccolini AHP 251

We coat sweet tilapia fillets in tangy Dijon mustard and crushed almonds and broil until the almonds become toasted and crispy before serving with buttery baby broccolini. Who knew you could create such decadence with 3 non-pantry ingredients and 15 minutes?

Cajun Pork with Salt and Vinegar Kale Chips AHP 113

Spicy pan-seared bone-in pork chops served with crispy salt and vinegar kale chips. So simple yet so good.

Grilled Romaine Salad with Flat Iron Steak AHP 040

A simple combination of caramelized, sweet grilled romaine and juicy flat-iron steak that will show you the versatility of lettuce! While that might sound like an odd sentence, tasting truly is believing!

So there ya have it – some of my go-to low carb recipes that are under 5 {or 6 ingredients} and quick and easy to help me stay on track during this crazy season of life!
